Mount Masami
Masami isn't currently up right now, we've been trying to get things running for a few years, but something always comes up. However, recently, we decided to get the team back together and get this puppy going. Currently, we're adding some new ideas in and reintroducing old ones. We should be up and running within a few weeks. If you're interested, feel free to roam Masami while we get things set up, or maybe you could even join and give us some feedback on what you'd like to see. Thank you so much for your patients and we're very very sorry!

OOC: This is a Solo I decided to wright to get me back into the grove of RPing. It’s only this one post, but I still think it helps to explain how Kazuki’s powers work. Plus I think It helped me to become inspired to wright for Masami again ^-^

14 Paragraphs:

“Alright, Princeton! You ready!?” The sound of Kazuki’s voice echoed through the trees. Princeton smirked at the young fox. He brushed a strand of hair up out of his face and nodded. Hope gets into a ready position, slowly raising his staff into the air in front of his face. The fox stood in front of Princeton and gave a nod.

Kazuki jumped into the air, making a cute little grunting noise. He tucked his head down, curled in between his legs, and flipped. As his body summersaulted in the air, a burst of blue flames surrounded him. A loud ‘Poof’ noise was made as the flames exploded in every direction. Princeton’s eyes reflected the shimmering light from the blue flame.

Princeton winced out of instinct, even though he had known that Kazuki’s fox fire was entirely harmless. The flame shined brightly for an instant, not creating any real heat. By the time Kazuki would have fallen back to the ground the fire vanished. Princeton’s eyes widened as he strived to see what the young fox has become.

This was how Kazuki helped Princeton train. Princeton was still a noob when it came to his magical ability. As the leader of his Team Hope, Princeton knew he needed to set an example for his mates by training hard. Kazuki would use his kitsune illusion magic to force Princeton into seeing what ever he desired. The fox would project an illusion that would penetrate Princeton’s mind. It would then be Princeton’s goal to try to focus his energies to be able to see the fox’s true form. Once he discovered Kazuki’s true hiding place, he would strike the fox down and escape the illusion.

They have done this exercise many times now, each time Kazuki would take an even goofier form. Princeton had to learn to be able to control his own mind and stay focused if he wanted to be able to see through the fox’s clever disguise. Kazuki wanted to get better at using his illusions to control others. Now from the flames Kazuki’s illusion emerged. Kazuki grabbed hold of Hope’s senses, and projected the image into the boys mind.

The fox had vanished from in front of Princeton, staying hidden behind his own illusion. Suddenly where Kazuki once stood, Princeton saw the ground begin to crack. Princeton thought, ‘What the… this isn’t like anything Kazuki’s done before.’ He readied his weapon not knowing what to expect. Suddenly he felt the ground begin to tremble. The crack grew and suddenly the ground exploded outward. A massive geyser of water blasted from the ground.

Princeton fell over; the shock from the geyser knocked him onto his butt. Water flew everywhere; Princeton took a gasp of air before the rapids clashed into him. In just a few seconds the entire forest seemed to have been completely flooded under water. Princeton knew that it wasn’t at all possible for the entire forest to be submersed as quickly as it was. A lack of Kazuki’s knowledge of physics caused some of his illusions to be flawed, giving Princeton something to use in separating the tricks from reality.

Princeton floated through the water, his lungs felt like they were going to burst. Princeton realized that, other than himself, nothing else seemed to have been moved by the sudden impact of the water. Everything besides him was still sitting on the ground the way it was before. Even the delicate leaves on the trees seemed to have been untouched. He saw a bird fly out of a tree above him. It looked like it would have been under water but it flew through the air just like normal. It opened its beak to chirp. To Princeton the sound had been distorted as if it was traveling through water.

Princeton realized that all of the water seemed to be entirely fake, witch of course it was since it was only a magical mind trick. So Princeton opened his mouth and took a big gasp of air. While everything around him felt wet to him, he realized that air still filled his lungs. The trick made all five of Princeton’s senses believe there was water, but in all reality he was actually surrounded by breathable air.

He placed his fingers onto his temples. He tried to focus. He tried to ignore the water and see how the world acted without it. Nothing was floating, it all looked normal other than the water’s light refraction. Once he focused on that little fact, he used it to see the area without the water. Once he thought logically everything began to return to looking entirely normal. He then saw the fox’s furry tail hidden in a tree in front of him.

He lifted his staff and used its natural power to summon a blue orb made of magical energy. This was the typical attack method that Princeton used the staff for. It was not its own spell, but just the result of focusing his own magical energy through the staff. He shot a blast of light that shot through the sky like an arrow. Kazuki’s eyes widened as the attack flew towards him.

There was a sudden flash of light. Princeton blinked wildly. Everything seemed to spin around for just a moment, until he regained his senses. The blast interrupted Kazuki’s spell, and allowed Princeton to regain control of his own senses. Princeton, who just seconds before seemed to be floating through water, was now sitting on the ground.

A loud scream came from the fox, followed by a loud thud. Princeton laughed as he stood up. He ran over to Kazuki. “That was pretty easy to beet; your illusion was logically flawed.” Kazuki sat up and looked up at Princeton. “Yeah, I was afraid that would happen when I went with the underwater theme. I wasn’t strong enough to make everything act the way it was supposed to.”

Days on Masami could seem long, and there wasn’t much at all to do. Mental training exercises like these were one of the only fun things Princeton seemed to have been able to find lately. Here in Masami, Princeton had powers he didn’t have on Earth. While technology wasn’t here to keep him entertained, a magical energy seemed to exist here that wasn’t present in his old world. One that Princeton desperately wanted to learn to manipulate.
